Коэффициент пропорциональности между разностью хода при двулучепреломлении, обусловленном наложением магнитного поля (вектор напряженности магнитного поля перпендикулярен направлению распространения оптического излучения в данной среде) и произведением напряженности магнитного поля на геометрическую длину пути излучения в веществе.
